SUNARYO

Sunaryo Sutono (b. Banyumas, Indonesia, 1943)
studied at ITB (Bandung Institute of Technology) and later in Italy. Although he specialized in sculpture and taught it at ITB, he did not limit himself to a single artistic discipline. He worked across various media: painting, sculpture, printmaking, installation, as well as
urban monuments and murals in public spaces across Indonesia. His works, both abstract and figurative, are known for their formal strength and inventiveness, often addressing social, environmental, and spiritual issues.

Sunaryo's mastery in applying concepts and his aesthetic sensitivity are a legacy we wish to introduce to the younger generation of art enthusiasts and art toy collectors, transcending time and space.

"Monument of Sense" represents a profound artistic collaboration between two influential Indonesian artists, Sunaryo and Arkiv Vilmansa. It is an intricate and thought-provoking Vinyl Art Sculpture (VAS) that pushes the boundaries of art by delving into themes of human perception, spirituality, and cultural identity.

Through their unique blend of traditional and contemporary elements, Sunaryo and Arkiv invite viewers to reassess how they experience the world, challenging perceptions and creating new narratives about reality.
